Why I want to become a Mentor?

AGH played a pivotal role in shaping both my technical foundation and my career, and becoming a Mentor is an opportunity to give back to the university community that helped me succeed. I remember the uncertainty that comes with being an international student—adapting to a new country, preparing for interviews, navigating internships, and making the transition into the professional world. I hope to help students by sharing not only technical knowledge but also practical advice on career planning, working in international companies, and building confidence as young professionals. I believe mentoring is about listening, encouraging independent thinking, and helping mentees make informed decisions rather than providing ready-made answers. I would be proud to support the next generation of AGH students as they begin their own professional journeys while strengthening the international alumni community.

My professional experience

I am currently a Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs, where I develop and support large-scale software systems in a fast-paced, global engineering environment. Prior to this, I spent over three years at UBS, progressing from Site Reliability Engineer Intern to Site Reliability Engineer and later DevOps Engineer. Throughout my career, I have worked on cloud migration initiatives, CI/CD automation, platform engineering, and the reliability of business-critical systems supporting thousands of users. I have led technical initiatives involving Azure, container platforms, artifact management, and observability while collaborating with engineering teams across multiple countries. Alongside my technical responsibilities, I have contributed to engineering communities by mentoring junior colleagues, sharing best practices, driving AI adoption, and participating in architecture and engineering forums. These experiences have strengthened both my technical expertise and my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to people at different stages of their careers.
The mentoring project is a part of Welcome to Poland run under Polish Agency for Academic Exchange with no.
