Why I want to become a Mentor?

I would like to become a Mentor because I understand how challenging it can be for students to study and live abroad, especially when they are far from their families and familiar support networks. Through my experience supporting EEE double-degree students in Japan, I have seen that even a short conversation, practical advice, or help navigating communication with a supervisor can make a meaningful difference to a student’s wellbeing and confidence. I would like to offer a welcoming, reliable point of contact and help students feel heard, supported, and better able to make the most of their international experience.

My professional experience

I am a university-affiliated researcher and educator with advanced expertise in materials science, solid-state chemistry, and energy technologies. My research experience includes manganites, perovskites, oxygen-storage materials, high-entropy oxides, hydrogen storage, fuel cells, and biomass-to-energy conversion, supported by experimental characterization and process modeling. I also have experience teaching engineering subjects, preparing competitive research proposals, communicating research to the public, and coordinating international academic activities. In my daily life, I communicate professionally in Polish and English in a Japanese and international environment.
The mentoring project is a part of Welcome to Poland run under Polish Agency for Academic Exchange with no. BPI/WTP/2025/1/00031 "AGH Global Alumni – A comprehensive model for cooperation and relationship-building between AGH and its international alumni".The Welcome to Poland Programme is financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 (FERS) within the project"Support for higher education and research institutions in servicing foreign nationals and Poles going abroad" (project no. FERS.01.05.IP.08-0003/24).
